Dear Parents and Friends, 

We are excited to announce CPAD is returning to Long Beach Dragon Boat Race/festival. Last year CPAD skipped the event was due to the conflict of schedule of 2013 Chinese Opera Fundraising which happened in the same month.  However, to carry on the Dragon Boat spirit is our late president Rachel’s wishes and do see great benefit to our children.

Practice and Race site: Mother’s Beach, Long Beach - 5839 E. Appian Way, Long Beach, CA 90803 
Date/Time: 6/21/14; 6/28/14; 7/12/14 and 7/19/14, 7:00 – 8:00 am           
                  (No practice on 7/5/14 in observing Independence Day) 
Race Date/Time:  7/26/2014, around 10:00-11:00 am

Special Announcement - No Class on Mother's Day

Dear Parents,

Please note, this Saturday, 5/10/14, CPAD will be observing Mother's Day.  All classes will be ceased, except individual Karaoke class and Rainbow dance practice are still on.

CPAD Saturday Program (April 2014)

Dear All,

On April 26, 2014, this Saturday, we will have new programs for two groups:  One for age 8-13, and another is for age 14 and up.  Please reply, to sign up the class, if you have not done so.

Tentatively, the classes will be set on the 4th  Saturday of each month.  More classes may be added as needed.

All the classes are sponsored by generous donors, and they are free of charge. 

We welcome children ages  8 to 13 with special needs to participate.  If you are interested in these classes, please contact Mrs. Lee at 626-321-5266.  You may also reply to this email by providing your child’s name, age, condition and any special needs.

Class Time Age 8 - 13 Age 14 and Above
  1:00 pm - 1:45 pm     Painting - Linda Lo     Painting - Linda Lo

CPAD Alhambra Saturday Program

Dear All,

Happy Chinese New Year! Our Jan-June'14 class dates are: 1/11, 2/8, 3/8, 3/22, 4/12, 4/26, no class in May and the last class will be on 6/7/14. Please mark those dates on your calendar. 

On 2/08/14, this Saturday, we will have four classes:From 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Signing Song/(Tzu Shao)

There will be a lion dance performance by Tzu Chi Academic to celebrate Chinese New Year with our students.  

From 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm:      Social/Interact(May Fu)
From 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm:      Karate (Dr. Jang) 
From 3:45 pm - 4:30 pm:      Karaoke (Mr. Abel Lam)
