CPAD Parent Support Group meeting - Transition

Nov. 28, 2006 (4^th Tuesday) – “Living Options” – what is available to individuals who are seeking a place to live that meets their needs. Parents will share their experience and information of what they learned from the recent “Transition Summit” conference.

December 2006 - Parent support group meeting is closed due to Christmas Holiday.

11/11/2006 & 11/12/2006 Evening 7 pm – “20^th Chinese American Dance Festival” by Chinese-American Dancing Group is having 2 great dancing performances at San Gabriel Civic Auditorium in San Gabriel. . Same as last year, Mrs. Tak Lee specially invites our CPAD families to watch the shows.  She donated 80 tickets to CPAD.   Parents please call Stella at (626) 309-9613 for tickets reservation.

Everyone who attended the last year performance was impressed by the dancing techniques, and the beautiful costumes.  Again, we thank you, Mrs. Tak Lee not only for your generosity but also your love and passion to all the CPAD families.

GOOD NEWS! CPAD recently bought 2 sets of transmitters and 12 headphones for meeting translation use. In the past, CPAD was using the equipment from Family Resource Center (FRC) at ELARC.  Thanks to the CPRC grant, we now have our own equipment to provide Mandarin and Cantonese translation!   We will use them on our 11/11/2006 Parent Training.

Recently CPAD/CPRC added a new complete set VCR tape of : “LifeSmart” to our library . Consist:

- DateSmart 1 & 2
- SaftySmart 1 & 2
- MoneySmart 1 & 2
