Presents:  School Age Stuttering Therapy:  Concepts and Strategies for Success

This training will present an overview of strategies to increase therapeutic effectiveness.

Course Objectives/Summary Description:  This course is designed to meet the needs of SLPs serving children who stutter by providing a broad-based approach to stuttering intervention in children.

Learner Outcomes:

• Identify 3 therapy activities related to foundational knowledge and skills in stuttering therapy
.• Explain the disorder of stuttering and the process of stuttering therapy to parents and teachers
.• Demonstrate 3 fluency enhancing and 3 stuttering modification techniques.

Provides medical, dental, and counseling services, job development, housing assistance, government benefits information, and senior and youth programs for the Chinese-American community. Does not specialize in disabilities, but can assist with resources. Many dialects spoken.
