CPAD LA Headquarter

This year, Tak Lau Charity Foundation and Alpha Design & Event have again joined hands in sponsoring a spectacular Cantonese opera shows – the Love Charity Nite VI. CPAD board and member' families want to express our deep appreciation for their live for Chinese American families with special need loved ones. Tak Lau Charity Foundation has donated $36,888.88 from proceeds of these events to CPAD for the building of CPAD’s Activity Center.... (More..)

7/21/2018 CPAD Orange County Chapter – Advocate Paul Eisenberg came to talk to us about Special Education.  Mr. Eisenberg conducted a Q&A session and answered questions related to different cases.... CPAD LA Headquarter

On 1/29/2018, Nine CPAD families participated in a ski event at Big Bear Mountain. This event was sponsored by United States Adaptive Recreation Center (USARC). Weather was warm and sunny this year and Big Bear was absolutely beautiful! The nine young adults enjoyed two ski lessons - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They had fun and got more confidence in their skills by the end of the day. Hope next year, we can rent a whole cabin overnight to enjoy each's company even more. (More..)

CPAD Orange County Chapter

3/17/18 CPAD Orange County Chapter meeting – Mr. Larry Landauer, CEO of RCOC, gave us a talk on “Self Determination”. How is it different than what I have now? What key things do I need to know? How does self-determination work etc. The pilot program of self-determinaton is expected to start shortly once federal fundng is approved. The initial participants will be determined by lottery. After 3 years, this program will be made available to everyone.  (More..)
